Heart-Lifting for Disheartening Times – Storytelling: FOCUS, with a FLOCK of Birds!

It’s all so overwhelming and it seems everyone is tired, discouraged, maybe angry or cynical or depressed, maybe confused or disheartened…just weary.
Each day during this April A-Z Blogging Challenge I’ll offer a short musing on an aspect or two of the many ways the ancient-yet-very-contemporary experience of storytelling – both listening and telling – is an enjoyable, fortifying and heart-lifting practice, for anyone!

F – Storytelling can help to FOCUS!

– and a 5- minute “FLOCK of Birds” story for you to listen to…

A story can help FOCUS you on an issue or problem or situation…or a goal or aspiration, or inspiration.

Sometimes a story can provide FOCUS on a solution or at least a pathway going forward.

Listening to a story activates your imagination and emotions. Your imagination and emotions can enable and empower you in ways that a list of facts or a logical argument can’t.

Today I’m sharing a video of a 5-minute story from India that I tell, in which a FLOCK of birds FOCUS together:
