“Women on the Way”

What might it have been like to have heard a woman storyteller in a small Mediterranean village in the 1^st century CE?  What if you heard a telling of a long story that was going around, “The Gospel of Mark” – but from the perspective and experience of a woman who had followed Jesus?

Storyteller Pam Faro offers a brief introduction to storytelling in antiquity and the roles of women in early Christianity, based on the research of biblical scholar Joanna Dewey.  You are invited to imagine yourself as a first-century listener as Pam takes on the persona of Artemesia of Ephesus and tells her remarkable story.  Contact Pam to learn more.
